Discover the joy of watercolor painting in this beginner-friendly class. No prior experience is necessary. Learn the fundamentals of watercolor techniques, including color mixing, brushwork, paper Hot vs. Cold press and a variety of water color techniques.
This introductory watercolor class is perfect for beginners! We'll dive into the fascinating world of color theory, exploring the color wheel and discovering how to create harmonious palettes. You'll learn about:
- Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Colors: Understanding how colors relate to each other and create vibrant combinations.
- Experimenting with different color combinations to achieve a wide range of hues.
- Warm and Cool Colors: Exploring the emotional impact of different color temperatures.
- Color Harmony: Creating color palettes that evoke specific moods and atmospheres.
Through a series of fun and engaging exercises, you'll gain a solid foundation in color theory and develop your confidence in using watercolor. All materials will be provided.
No prior experience is necessary. This class is open to all levels, from complete beginners to those with some watercolor experience. Students are required to bring their own supplies.
In the following weeks we will play with different watercolor techniques as we paint.
