Bring Your Strawberries to Life: Stumpwork Embroidery Workshop

Want to add dimension to your embroidery? Join fiber artist and author Melissa Galbraith of MCreativeJ for a delightful afternoon of stumpwork.

In this 3-hour workshop, you'll learn the captivating art of stumpwork, a technique that uses padding and wire to create 3D elements that seem to magically pop off the fabric. We'll focus on creating a stunning sculptural strawberry and its lush leaves.

You'll learn:

• Essential stumpwork techniques, including padding, wiring, and shaping.
• Key embroidery stitches: stem stitch, pistil stitch, detached chain stitch, berry stitch, couching, long and short satin stitch, buttonhole stitch, and corded detached buttonhole stitch.

All materials are provided. This workshop is best suited for those with some prior embroidery experience, but all enthusiastic makers are welcome.
