Let's Get Back to the Basics- 

In this course, you will learn about the basics of oil painting. Topics covered will include:

• An introduction to the tools.
• Toning your canvas.
• Your color palette.
• Basic color theory and color mixing.
• Using value to create dimension.
• How to use color temperature to create shifts.
• A brief introduction to composition.

You will learn from demonstrations, exercises, and projects that will help you develop your skills and confidence in this medium. The focus of the course is not to finish a painting but to learn some fundamentals that will help you achieve that goal.

This course is suitable for beginners and intermediate painters who want to improve their oil painting techniques.

Includes a $25 supply fee. Each student will receive their own pair of brushes that they can take home at the end of the class.

Ages 13 +  Mixed Teen and Adult. All supplies are provided.
